Web Development

Development that makes the design work.

A strong design fails the moment the build is slow, fragile, inaccessible or impossible to update. Development is where intention becomes something customers can actually use.

Summitstone Group builds websites with performance, responsive behaviour, accessibility and maintainability as requirements—not nice-to-haves. The goal is a site that ships cleanly, holds up after content changes, and does not need a rewrite the first time the business evolves.

We implement thoughtfully: semantic HTML, sensible component structure, careful assets, and measurement in place before launch—not as a scramble after.

Build system

Interface, system, and handoff.

  1. 01Front endLayout, interaction, performance
  2. 02ContentEditable without breaking design
  3. 03IntegrationsForms, CRM, analytics
  4. 04HandoffDocumented and maintainable

The problem

Beautiful files are not a finished website.

Teams often hand off design and hope the build will “figure it out.” That is how you get missing states, broken forms, layout shifts, inaccessible components and a CMS that fights every edit.

Development has to protect the design intent while solving the engineering problems: speed, structure, integrations, content editing and the boring reliability work that keeps a site useful months later.

Signs

Signs you may need this.

  1. 01

The current site is slow, brittle or hard for your team to update.

  2. 02

Design exists, but implementation keeps introducing compromises.

  3. 03

Forms, booking tools or CRM connections are duct-taped together.

  4. 04

JavaScript is doing work HTML and CSS should handle.

  5. 05

Accessibility issues keep showing up in audits or support tickets.

  6. 06

You need a custom build, not another template dressed up as a product.

What we do

The work inside this service.

01

Front-end implementation

Translate approved designs into responsive, semantic interfaces that behave consistently across devices and browsers.

02

Performance-minded builds

Ship lean assets, control layout shift, and keep critical content available without waiting on unnecessary scripts.

03

Accessibility in the code

Keyboard paths, focus states, semantics, contrast-aware components and forms that announce errors properly.

04

Content and CMS structure

Organize editable content so marketing can update pages without breaking the design system or inventing new patterns every week.

05

Integrations that matter

Connect forms, analytics, CRM or booking tools carefully—with failure states and measurement considered up front.

06

Launch readiness

QA across key breakpoints, redirects when needed, analytics verification and a handoff your team can actually maintain.

Approach

Build in reviewable increments.

We prefer clarity over cleverness. Architecture choices are made to serve the site’s lifespan: how content will change, which pages carry search weight, and which interactions need real engineering versus simple markup.

Work moves in reviewable increments so design, content and development stay aligned. Performance and accessibility are checked during the build—not treated as a final weekend pass.

  1. 01

    Technical framing

Stack, content model, integrations and constraints before code volume ramps up.

  2. 02

    Foundation

Layout system, shared components, typography and base templates.

  3. 03

    Page and feature build

Priority pages, interactions, forms and integrations in reviewable slices.

  4. 04

    Hardening and launch

QA, performance checks, accessibility review, analytics and go-live support.

Deliverables

What you leave with.

  • 01Technical approach and content model notes
  • 02Implemented templates and components
  • 03Responsive, accessible front-end build
  • 04Configured forms and agreed integrations
  • 05Analytics and measurement hooks
  • 06QA checklist and launch support
  • 07Handoff documentation for ongoing edits

Connected capabilities

Related services that often travel together.

Development sits next to design, redesign migrations and technical SEO. The same site has to look right, run well and remain findable.

01

Web Design

A website is not a brochure with a contact form. It is how buyers decide whether you look prepared, how they find the right service, and whether they take the next step. Design has to carry that weight.

02

Website Redesign

An outdated website is rarely just a visual problem. Offers change, teams change, services expand, and the old site starts explaining a company that no longer exists. Redesign is how you catch up without throwing away what already works.

03

SEO

Search works when a page answers a real question clearly, can be crawled and understood, and belongs to a site structure that makes sense. Tricks do not replace that foundation.

FAQ

Questions we hear before the work starts.

What stack do you use?

We choose based on the project’s needs, content model and maintenance reality. Modern React/Next.js builds are common for sites that need performance and structured content, but the stack decision follows the problem—not the other way around.

Can you develop from another designer’s files?

Often, yes—if the design is coherent and the expectations are clear. We still review for missing states, accessibility gaps and content realities before committing to a build plan.

Will the site be editable after launch?

That is the default goal. We structure content so your team can update copy, pages and common modules without breaking the system. Highly custom interactions may still need developer involvement, and we say so plainly.

Do you handle hosting?

We can advise on hosting and deployment approach as part of the build. Exact hosting arrangements depend on the project and are confirmed during scoping—not assumed.

How do you think about SEO during development?

Clean URLs, crawlable HTML, metadata hooks, sensible heading structure, internal links and performance all belong in the build. SEO strategy may be a separate engagement; technical foundations should not wait for it.
